Baba Tree Basket Company has been preserving the culture of basket making in the Gurunsi community in Bolgatanga for 15 years. The Baba Tree Community of over 250 artisans have mastered a traditional weaving technique using elephant grass to the rhythm of nature. Every dog basket comes directly from the hands of the weavers. Each pattern shows the personal and unique signature of the weaver who made the basket. We celebrate the unique differences in every single piece.
The artists are paid fairly and also receive a commission on the sale of their baskets.
